Premature Ejaculation Treatment

Premature ejaculation affects roughly one in three men at some stage. It is highly treatable – and you don't have to talk about it with anyone but us.

What is premature ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation (PE) is when a man ejaculates sooner than he or his partner would like and has trouble controlling the timing. While most men can last around 10–15 minutes and control their ejaculation, a man with PE will often last less than two minutes with little or no control.

PE is a genuine medical condition. It can lead to distress, embarrassment, anxiety and depression, and it affects relationships. Your quality of life matters to us, and treatment should be effective and easy.

What causes premature ejaculation?

Ejaculation is controlled by nerves and hormones, and PE is usually caused by a combination of physical and psychological factors:

  • Abnormal hormone or neurotransmitter levels
  • An overly sensitive penis
  • Weak pelvic floor muscles
  • Inherited traits
  • Unusual reflex activity of the ejaculatory system
  • Thyroid problems
  • Anxiety, guilt, stress or depression
  • Relationship problems

Types of premature ejaculation

There are two types of PE, and the type helps determine the right treatment:

  • Lifelong PE – present from the very first sexual encounter
  • Acquired PE – develops later in life, often after an emotional or medical episode

FAQ

Premature Ejaculation questions

Straight answers to the questions men ask us most.

What is premature ejaculation (PE)?

PE is when a man cannot control his ejaculation and can generally only engage in a few minutes of intercourse. It is a problem when it leaves you or your partner unsatisfied and causes stress or anxiety. PE can accompany erectile dysfunction, and if you experience both we can treat both at the same time.

What causes premature ejaculation?

PE is most often caused by a combination of factors. Common physical causes are an overly sensitive penis, hormone levels and weak pelvic muscles. Psychological causes such as anxiety, guilt, depression or stress are also significant, and the most effective treatment plans address all of them.

How do I stop ejaculating so quickly?

Depending on severity there are many approaches: behavioural methods such as the stop-start and squeeze techniques, pelvic floor exercises, natural herbal treatment, and working with us to find the blend that is right for you.

How long do men last on average?

Studies show the average man lasts approximately 10–15 minutes, while a healthy range is anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. Lasting under a minute is not uncommon, and PE is very common – about 1 in 3 men aged 18 to 59 experience it.

Are there natural remedies to last longer in bed?

We don't recommend gimmicks. Healthy eating, correcting nutrient deficiencies (such as vitamin D, zinc and magnesium), pelvic floor exercises and reducing stress all help. Our herbal treatments are made from natural ingredients; discuss any medication or condition with us first.

Is there a cure for premature ejaculation?

PE can be effectively managed and usually improves with treatment. Alongside natural treatment, we encourage pelvic floor exercises and behaviour techniques like the squeeze and stop-start methods to strengthen your control over time.

Results vary from person to person. This information is not a substitute for medical advice.
